Reiki Experiences at Wellness Festivals

I’ve been attending wellness and holistic festivals since 2023, and during those festivals, after discussing energy work and Reiki, I’ve often been asked to help with shifting an ache or a pain, or reducing anxiety. I currently attend as a participant, as my vehicle cannot accommodate both my camping equipment and my Reiki bed + gazebo.

Reiki is a gentle, non-invasive energy practice that aims to support the body’s natural ability to relax, rebalance, and heal. Many people experience a sense of calm, warmth, or relief during and after a session.

What follows is a summary of just a few of the times I have given Reiki, and the outcomes:

  • A festival goer was visibly struggling to walk, sit down, or stand up. I gave Reiki to the impacted area, and they were able to move more freely, with the pain reduced by around half. I later spoke to them on WhatsApp and they had been diagnosed with a herniated disc. The Reiki helped ease their time at the festival and they were able to move more comfortably.
  • A festival goer had a frozen shoulder and struggled to move their head to the left. I gently massaged the area for a few minutes whilst introducing Reiki. To their surprise, they were able to move their head freely and the pain had completely gone.
  • Aching thighs — this did feel a bit awkward to be honest, but I massaged the thighs whilst channelling Reiki. The experience was relaxing for the individual, and after a few minutes the aches and pains had gone. They also enjoyed the massage!
  • Blocked ear — I had the individual sit on a chair and provided Reiki to the head and shoulders, then held my hands over their ears for around 5 minutes. During the session, they heard a ‘pop’ in the affected ear, which may have indicated a release of pressure or blockage.
  • Fractured wrist — the individual had broken their wrist a few weeks before and it was still in a supportive splint. I gave Reiki to the hand, and they were surprised to feel the energy flow into it. The next day I saw them again, and they showed me they had much more movement in their fingers than before the session and were very, very pleased.

Reiki can be a powerful way to support relaxation, ease discomfort, and help you feel more at ease in your body. Everyone’s experience is different, but many people notice a real shift, even after a short session.

If you’re curious about how Reiki could support you, feel free to get in touch or come and experience a session for yourself.

I am attending several festivals during the month of August, this means that unfortunately Reiki session availability is reduced during this period – thank you for your understanding.
Wishing you a wonderful summer 🌞
